Nintendo Switch Joy-Con game controller grips with hand rope for boxing gameplay
These accessory grips are designed to enhance your physical gaming sessions with the Nintendo Switch, particularly for motion-controlled boxing games. They connect directly to your standard Joy-Con controllers, providing a more substantial hold and reducing the risk of accidental release during vigorous gameplay. The integrated hand rope adds an extra layer of security, allowing you to swing and punch with confidence. Available in multiple colour variations, these grips are a practical addition for gamers who regularly engage in active play modes that require more secure controller handling.
Features and Construction
The grips are built with attention to the specific needs of motion gaming, focusing on secure attachment and user comfort during extended play sessions.
Material and Build
Constructed from AVS (Acrylonitrile Vinyl Styrene) plastic, these grips offer a lightweight yet durable solution. This material provides impact resistance while maintaining a comfortable weight, preventing arm fatigue during extended boxing or fitness gaming sessions. The moulded design fits neatly over the standard Joy-Con form factor, adding minimal bulk while improving grip security.
Size and Practical Fit
With dimensions of 8 cm in length, 1.5 cm in width, and 13.7 cm in height, these grips add modest volume to your controllers without making them unwieldy. The compact design means they can be easily stored alongside your Switch console and other accessories. The hand rope is integrated into the grip design, positioned to wrap comfortably around your wrist without interfering with button access or joystick movement.
Uses and Placement
These accessories serve a clear purpose in specific gaming scenarios where standard controller handling might prove insufficient or insecure.
Event or Professional Use
For gaming events, tournaments, or fitness centres using Nintendo Switch systems for group activities, these grips provide added safety and durability. The hand rope prevents controllers from becoming projectiles in crowded spaces, while the reinforced grip allows for more vigorous use without concern for damage to the original Joy-Cons.
Everyday Home Use
In home environments, these grips are particularly useful for fitness games, boxing titles, or any motion-controlled games where players might sweat or make rapid movements. They provide parents with peace of mind during children's active play, reducing the risk of controllers slipping from small hands and hitting surfaces or people.
Benefits and Buying Value
The value of these accessories lies in their practical application and straightforward enhancement of existing gaming equipment.
Reuse and Low Maintenance
Since they attach to your existing Joy-Cons, you can continue using your standard controllers for other game types by simply removing the grips. The AVS material requires minimal maintenance—just occasional wiping with a dry cloth—and won't degrade with regular use. This extends the functional life of your original controllers by providing a protective layer during more demanding gameplay.
Why Choose This Product
This product addresses a specific need for Nintendo Switch owners who enjoy motion-controlled games but find the standard Joy-Con grip insufficiently secure. The included hand rope provides tangible safety benefits during vigorous gameplay, while the colour options allow for personalisation. As a two-pack, it provides a complete solution for both left and right controllers simultaneously.
